Honour Rae writes deck-building LitRPG, a subgenre that combines role-playing game mechanics with narrative fantasy. The All the Skills series follows a protagonist gaining varied abilities represented through a card-based system, blending progression mechanics with character development. Readers drawn to fantasy that incorporates game-like progression systems, strategic thinking, and the satisfaction of incremental advancement will find Rae's work engaging. LitRPG appeals to those who enjoy seeing characters systematically develop power and capabilities whilst navigating complex magical systems. Rae's extended series demonstrates sustained world-building within this niche genre.
